Ronald L. Young II, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at the Brain and Spine Center of South Florida, providing neurolosurgical care to people at locations in Delray Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Dr. Young earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Then, he enrolled at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, earning his medical degree.
Dr. Young brings more than 30 years of experience to the Brain and Spine Center of South Florida. He manages various neurological problems but specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors and hydrocephalus. Patients also seek Dr. Young’s expertise in minimally invasive brain and spinal cord tumor surgery.
Dr. Young has had a rewarding career. He served in various positions before moving to South Florida, including chief of pediatric neurosurgery and chair of cooperative brain tumor conference at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine in Carmel, Indiana.
Dr. Young was also an assistant professor in the division of pediatric surgery, department of neurosurgery at the University of Texas Health (UTHealth) - Houston.
Outside the office, Dr. Young enjoys attending national and international conferences and spending time with his wife and four children. He’s also an athlete active in karate, downhill skiing, road biking, and tennis.
